Description: The Symantec Private Branch Exchange service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the path specified.
Resolution
1. Verify that pbx_exchange.exe and pbxservice.cmd are in the following location.
a. C:\Program Files\Veritas\VxPBX\bin
2. Check the Image Path of the following registry key.
a. HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VRTSpbx
3. The path should be C:\Program Files\Veritas\VxPBX\bin\pbx_exchange.exe
4. Update the path and reinstall PBX using the following procedure
a. Locate Veritas Private Branch Exchange.msi in the installation directory
i. Search for file. The default location is C:\Program Files\Veritas\Veritas Shared\VPI\{F834E070-8D71-4c4b-B688-06964B88F3E8}\pkgs\32\common
b. Right click Veritas Private Branch Exchange.msi and select Uninstall.
c. Once the uninstall is complete, right click on Veritas Private Branch Exchange.msi and select Install.
5. After the install completes, start the Veritas Private Branch Exchange Service
Issue/Introduction
Veritas Private Branch Exchange service fails to start and VEA is unable to open.
