Symptom: The customer cannot mount a suspect file system, and receives the following error.

# mount /fsharv1-itspace1
UX:vxfs mount: ERROR: V-3-21264: /dev/vx/dsk/nashrdg/fsharv1-itspace1-01 is already mounted, /fsharv1-itspace1 is busy, allowable number of mount points exceeded


Solution :

Remove the mount point to clear the entry from the /etc/mnttab file.

Then re-created the mount point Directory.

Following this, the file system should be mounted without issue.
