V-16-1-10468 Node providing snapshot has left the cluster. Local node leaving cluster to be restarted
Cause
It has been discovered that outdated versions of some NIC Drivers (used for cluster hearbeat communication) can cause the unexpected reboot of one of the nodes when it tries to get a snapshot of the configuration from a node that is restarting.
Currently, the issue has been detected in old drivers for the following NICs:
- HP NC7170 Dual Gigabit Server Adapter (n1g5132e.sys)
- Intel(R) PRO/1000 GT Dual Port Server Adapter (e1g5132e.sys)
Resolution
Upgrade the NIC drivers used for cluster communication to a later version to determine if that resolves the issue.
If issues persist, contact Veritas Technical Support for additional assistance.
