The VERITAS Cluster Server (VCS) "Flush" command allows an online or offline command to be stopped at its present state. For example: if, after issuing an online command, it is realized that a mistake in configuration was made, the command can be stopped before a fault occurs. Issuing a Flush command will stop the command at the point that the flush was issued. There are 2 ways to issue a Flush command:

1. Command Prompt (all versions of VCS)

The syntax is hagrp -flush sevicegroupname -sys Systemname For example, to flush the Exch_GRP on node EXCHANGE_SVR1 the command would be :
hagrp -flush Exch_GRP -sys EXCHANGE_SVR1

2. Right-click on the Service Group in the left pane of the Veritas Cluster Java Console and select the "Flush" operation

Important: The Flush command only flushes one node at a time. The Flush command is usually used on the active node.
