INTERNAL Error - No valid disk found containing dynamic disk group
The VMDK disks for VMware do not support SCSI-3 protocol (Default setting in VEA).
This issue occurs when the disks for the cluster node are presented with SCSI-Sharing mode as Physical and the SCSI-Support setting in VEA is set to SCSI-3.
1. From the settings of the VMWare guest, set the SCSI sharing type to Virtual using the below steps:
a. Start the VMWare VSphere client.
b. From the inventory, right-click on the guest virtual machine (VM).
c. Click Edit Settings
d. From the Virtual Machine Properties, click the Hardware tab.
e. Select the SCSI controller that is associated with the shared storage.
f. From SCSI Bus Sharing, select Virtual
2. From the Veritas Enterprise Administrator (VEA) control panel, select SCSI-2 using the below steps:
a. Start Veritas Enterprise Administrator (VEA).
b. Click Control Panel
c. From Browse Domain expand the selections and double-click System Settings
d. Click SCSI Support tab
e. Select SCSI-2 support
f. Restart VEA service using the below commands
i. net stop vxsvc
ii. net start vxsvc
