Cause

The VOM CommandCentral (CC) Add-on can be installed with a demo license with a fixed expiry date.  If the Add-On is removed but the remove operation fails, this license can be left on the system which will cause the error to appear once the license has expired.

Resolution

Windows Server 2008:

  1. Open a command prompt and run the following commands:
    C:\> set store="C:\ProgramData\Symantec\VRTSsfmh\spool\addons\store\VRTSccs-5.2.1518.0"
    C:\> "C:\Program Files\Veritas\VRTSsfmh\bin\perl" "C:\ProgramData\Symantec\VRTSsfmh\spool\addons\store\VRTSccs-5.2.1518.0\unsetup.pl"
  2. Remove the directory "C:\ProgramData\Symantec\VRTSsfmh\spool\addons\store\VRTSccs-5.2.1518.0"
