# vxclustadm setmaster
VCS error v-5-1-15632 master switching not supported for the current protocol
Cause
The CVM master role can only be dynamically switched to another node if all nodes are having protocol 110.
# vxdctl protocolversion
Resolution
Workaround:
Force stopping local VCS HAD and then reboot the node.
# hastop -local -force
# init 6

solaris 10 and SFHA 5.1SP1
Issue/Introduction
System needs to apply OS kernel patch in cluster environment. This system is a CVM master. Before the OS patch install, the CVM master role needs to switch over to another node in cluster.
