Error Message

1. vxdclid shows a very large amount of CPU minutes used:

2. vxdclid process crashes multiple times per day, leaving a core file:

# ls -l /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/core

# file /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/core
/var/opt/VRTSsfmh/core: ELF 32-bit MSB core file SPARC Version 1, from 'vxdclid'

 

Cause

The issue occurs due to changes that were made during the installation of Patch P2, resulting in an incompatibility with vxdclid.

Resolution

Upgrade to the 5.1 SP1 RP2, or later.
