Cause

Symantec engineering has identified root cause of this issue and tracked via etrack 2252680

Resolution

Workaround:

Kill vxtask process id and clean up any temporary plex/subdisk created during above vxtask process.

#kill -9 18956

 

Veritas engineering is preparing hot-fix patch for this defect.  This hot-fix patch will be available on top of VxVM 5.1SP1RP2P3.
