Cause
VXVM doesn't support a mix of clone and non-clone devices in the same DiskGroup.
Resolution
The customer must determine conclusively if the devices are supposed to be marked as clone or not. Then, the clone flag can be turned on or off accordingly.

Issue/Introduction
Attempting to import a DiskGroup with a mix of clone and non-clone devices on a host running Volume Manager will fail due to missing devices. The DiskGroup can only be force imported. However, the missing LUNs are seen and are writable.
