VxVM vxconfigd ERROR V-5-1-0 Segmentation violation - core dumped

:/root-#>vxdctl enable
VxVM vxdctl ERROR V-5-1-307 vxconfigd is not running, cannot enable

Cause

This is caused due to stale device entries in DMP/OS device tree
vxconfig coredumps in ssb_check_disks()

Resolution

[What to Do]

Collection of the required data
  - vxexplorer output
  - core dump from the vxconfigd.
  - /usr/sbin/vxconfigd binary.
  - gatherlib.sh
  - pstack
  - debug mode
  - analysis vxconfigd core dump

[Resolution]

-Temporary workaround is to reboot  system to reset vxconfigd
-Permanent workaround is to move to the latest patch 5.1SP1RP3 or later.
