Issue/Introduction

Able to multipath disk and do everything to the point of creating volume and creating directories/data etc. However, at some point it corrupts the disk label - this is especially the case when entry put in /etc/fsatb and server restarted.

e.g.
/dev/vx/dsk/datadg/datavol /data vxfs rw,nosuid,_netdev 0 2

Result is the system does not start up and partion information lost:

e.g.
Disk /dev/mapper/mpathg (Sun disk label): 255 heads, 189 sectors, 3914 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 48195 * 512 bytes

Device Flag Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/mapper/mpathgp3 u 0 3914 94317615 5 Whole disk
/dev/mapper/mpathgp8 u 0 3914 94317615 f Unknown
