Warning message will be displayed:

Server is unreachable, it may be down or there is some problem with network connection. You will be notified once the server is available.

Cause

This is caused by known issues with HF2 and Java JRE files not being replaced properly by the HF2 installer when in use.

 

Resolution

HF2 has been recalled from the Veritas SORT site. Veritas is replacing the HF2 patch with the release HotFix3 (HF3) to address this problem.

Please download VOM 6.0HF3 known as Build vom-6.0.0.0300 from https://sort.Veritas.com/patch/detail/8584 as resolution.


Applies To

Windows CMS running VOM 6.0 upgraded to HF2 on platform:

Windows 2008
Windows 2008 R2
Windows 2008 R2 SP1

  This issue does not affect a Linux CMS.

Issue/Introduction

On a Windows Central Management Server (CMS) after installing (HotFix) HF2 you may experience issues connecting a browser to the VOM server (GUI console).  This issue does not affect a Linux CMS.   ** UPDATE: Details below outline issue for HF2 recall.  HF3 is now available; see SOLUTION section below.
