Applies To

VCS 6.1.x through 6.2.0

Issue/Introduction

THIS MESSAGE IS INFORMATIONAL AND WILL NEVER AFFECT FUNCTIONALITY OF THE VCS SOFTWARE   When keyless licensing is used, unless the server is managed by Veritas Operations Manager (VOM), the server is considered out of compliance.  At periodic intervals, an entry will be logged to the syslog (messages file in most cases), alerting the administrator to this condition (see Error below).   While there are a few reasons that this sympton may exist (in any supported version of Storage Foundation and/or VCS), in version 6.1.x through 6.2, a condition exists where this message is logged even though the server is managed by VOM.
