VxVM vxdg ERROR V-5-1-587 Disk group : import failed: No valid disk found containing disk group
Cause
In a Hitach TrueCopy configuration,there are two hosts at different sites using Hitachi True Copy for hardware mirroring. The copied logical units(LUNs) are visible to the destination host, but these LUNs in the disk group cannot be imported. The import operation fails with the following as they are in write-protected mode.
Resolution
In ideal situation, the Hitachi True Copy pairs are set to read-only.
The HTC admin needs to modify the pair status to read-write, Post that, the disk group will be able to import on the destination host.
Issue/Introduction
When attempting to import the DG, if the disks in the DG are the replicated disks of Hitachi TrueCopy, then the import for the DG fails
