Solution
Follow these steps to migrate service groups to a new domain:
1. Verify that the user groups in the old domain exist in the new domain, otherwise recreate them and add the users back into them
2. Take all the service groups offline.
3. Freeze the service groups with Persistent mode. Then save and close the configuration.
4. Close Veritas Cluster Manager Console.
5. Open an elevated command prompt and type hastop
6. Browse to the config folder available at %VCS_HOME%\conf\config
7. Copy main.cf to another location as backup
8. Edit the main.cf and search the file for the <Old Domain Name> and replace with <New Domain Name> (This step is needed to change the old Domain information with the new Domain information)
9. Save the changes to the main.cf file
10. At the command prompt, to the path of the main.cf from step #6 and run hacf -verify .
Make sure to enter the period (.) at the end of the above command
11. Fix any errors in the main.cf file that appear from the hacf -verify . command
12. Copy the main.cf that was just modified to each of the other nodes in the cluster.
13. Join the cluster node to the new domain
14. Reboot the cluster nodes.
15. Run the hadhelper /configure command to update the Lanman resource with the new hadhelper account details.
16. Run Veritas Cluster Server Cluster Manager
17. Unfreeze the service groups.
18. Online the service groups as needed.
19. Once the service groups are online, test the service groups to ensure that they are working as expected in the new domain
