Description

Error Message

"V-76-58645-578"
The file system limits the resize operation to a maximum of 1.9 TB at a time. To increase the volume size by more than 1.9 TB, repeat the resize command, adding by 1.9 TB or less

Cause

This is due to a limitation with the OS API that we are calling to perform this task.

Resolution

Solution
To resolve this issue, expand the volume 1.9 TB, or less, at-a-time for multiple times until the desired volume size is reached.

Note:
If a volume larger than 2 TB is desired with a single disk, GUID Partition Table (GPT) disks must be used as Master Boot Record (MBR) disks can not handle a disk size of more than 2 TB per disk.

If a volume greater than 17.2 TB is desired, the volume must be formatted using a block allocation size of at least 8192.
