Description

Error Message

V-76-58645-524 - The dynamic disk group can not be imported as a cluster dynamic disk group because it is not on a shared bus.

V-78-58645-270: Operation failed. The disk cannot be added as a member of a cluster dynamic disk group because it is not on the shared bus

V-76-58645-525 The disk can not be imported as a member of a cluster or cluster shared dynamic disk group because it is not on a shared bus.

Cause

1. The disk is on the same bus as the system disk and may be local to the system. This check ensures that cluster dynamic groups are created using only shared disks that will be accessible from all nodes in the cluster.
2. System boot disk is on the SAN and on the same BUS as the shared storage.

Resolution

The following steps can be performed to keep InfoScale from performing this check and allow the Clustered Diskgroup to import.

Note: If there are missing disks in the Diskgroup, it is recommended to address the issue first which may resolve this error.

Please follow the steps provided below:

1. Open a command prompt (run as Administrator)

2. Run command: vxclus usesystembus ON

3. The following message will be returned:

"V-77-57616-50026: Warning: By enabling UseSystemBus you are going to create cluster diskgroup on the disks which are connected to System/Boot bus. Do you want to continue(Y/N)?"

4. Type Y, and hit Enter which should return the following output:

V-77-57616-4046: ****** Enabled UseSystemBus support.

Note: If the following error is returned, ensure the Command Prompt is open with Administrative privileges

V-77-57616-4045 ****Unable to create UseSystemBusy key
