How to fix a disk group status which is shown as disabled (dgdisabled)

Cause
Temporarily lost connection to storage array/lun results to Volume Manager not being able to update the private region causing VxVM to set the "dgdisabled" flag against the impacted disk group.
Issue/Introduction
This article becomes how to fix a Disk group when the status is shown as disabled (dgdisabled).
The disk group details will not be shown in the output from vxprint -htg <dg-name>
The disk group will show as disabled in vxdg list:
