VxVM vxvol ERROR V-5-1-1205 Volume backups has no complete, non-volatile ACTIVE plexes

Need to detach the plex and recreate the volume with the detached plex.
 
# vxplex -g dis
Example:
# vxplex -g pay01dg01 dis backups-01
 
# vxmake -g -U fsgen vol  plex=
Example:
# vxmake -g pay01dg01 -U fsgen vol backups plex=backups-01
 
 
Start the volume.
 
# vxvol -g start
Example:
# vxvol -g pay01dg01 start backups
 
 
The vxprint output shows that the volume and plex are now in the "ENABLED ACTIVE" state.
 
# vxprint -htg 
 
# vxprint -htg pay01dg01 backups
