Cause


The disk groups that could not be imported being replicated disk groups on a disaster recovery (DR) system possibly had been corrupted due to incomplete replication, preventing Veritas Volume Manager from importing the disk groups, even using the vxdg -fC command.  

Resolution

To clear all issues with corruption due to incomplete replication, perform a full resynch for Volume replicator.

After the full synchronization, Volume Manager should be able to import the disk groups without any issues.

 

 

 

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to import a diskgroup on DR site, it would fail with VxVM errors V-5-1-530 and V-5-1-10978
