Resolution


a) Remove the heartbeat NICs configuration from SEP using below steps
1.Open the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP)administration window.
2.Click "Change Settings" on the left ofwindow.
3.Select "Network Threat Protection"
4.Click"Configure Settings"
5.Click the tab of "Microsoft Windows Networking", select only the public NIC.


b) Remove the Teefer2 Driver configuration from NIC connection properties using below steps
1.Un-check the item of "Teefer2 Driver"  for all heartbeat NICs.
2.Do step #1 on all nodes of VCS.
3) Reboot all nodes after completing Step #1 and #2

The Heartbeat links will now be able to communicate, allowing HAD to start successfully. 

 
 

 

Issue/Introduction

When Storage Foundation HA for Windows and Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) Client is installed on a server, VCS may be failed to rebuild heartbeat and port membership when the server reboot.
