VMDg:*VMDg:monitor:Volume Manager Cluster support components not installed.

Resolution

  • On the server where the error message is being logged and from session 0 (mstsc /console or /admin when working remotely).
  • If using a cluster, perform the operations on the passive node. 
                                                                  “hastop” -local from the command line.
  • Run a repair of the Storage Foundation for Windows Server Components from the Add Remove Programs
  • Reboot the server at the end of the repair check to see that the errors have stopped.

Error being logged in the windows event viewer that, "Volume Manager Cluster support components not installed."
