Resolution
The disk can be initialized using
vxdisksetup -i DA
NOTE:: "DA" refers to the device name listed in the first column of "vxdisk list" output, without the "s2".
Issue/Introduction
When attempting to use vxdiskadm option 1, it fails to initialize a disk
