Cause

The label was corrupt for the particular LUN.

Resolution

 Relabelling the LUN resolved the issue.
 


Issue/Introduction

Using EMC's Symmetrix Remote Data Facility (SRDF) method for replication, the messages file is showing repeated SCSI messages "Sense Key: Write Protected" .
Because of these errors, Dynamic Multipathing (DMP) disables the path for the particular LUN. There are no issues with the array settings.
