Slow vxfs performance copying dbf files to vxfs filesystems during TSM backup

Needed to tune vxfs.
Resolution
VxFS was tuned as follows –
/etc/vx/vxfssystem
vx_vmm_buf_count 1000
num_pdt 08
-----------------
/etc/vx/tunefstab
system_default read_pref_io=1024k
system_default write_pref_io=1024k
system_default max_diskq=16m
system_default discovered_direct_iosz=1m
--After tuning the backup time on VxFS was 3.4 minutes. (writech in topas ~ 33M)
Issue/Introduction
Slow performance copying dif files to filesystems during TSM backup The incremental backup of a 6G file on JFS2 took around 3.16 minutes. Before tuning VxFS this was 2209.28 seconds (~36minutes) (writech ~1M)
