Cause
When the DMP varible "dmp_probe_idle_lun" set to "on" it will collect I/O statistics, the
buffer for the I/O statistics can over flow when there is a large amount of error activity on the SAN.
Resolution
Ths is an information message and does not cause functional problem.
Setting dmp_probe_idle_lun to "off" will stop statistics collection and stop any new messages related to statistics.
To Check the tunables,
# vxdmpadm gettune [all | tunable]
To Change the tunables
# vxdmpadm settune dmp_probe_idle_lun=off / on
Issue/Introduction
During times of instablity in the SAN there are errors indicating that I/O statistics records have been lost.
