vxlicrep ERROR V-21-3-1015 Failed to prepare report for key = 'License Key"
vxlicrep ERROR V-21-3-1015 Failed to prepare report for key = "Option Key"
vxlicrep ERROR V-21-3-1003 There are no valid VERITAS License keys installed in the system.
Cause
The following 2 files are missing from the license directory:
- sfwlkl.txe
-vcslkl.txe
These should be found in the following location on the server (depending on architecture)
Windows Server 2003 (x86): \Program Files\Common Files\Veritas Shared\vrtslic\db
Windows Server 2003 (x64): \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Veritas Shared\vrtslic\db
Resolution
The sfwlkl.txe and vcslkl.txe files must exist in order for vxlicrep to properly run. This can be accomplished by one of the following methods:
- Copy these files from a working server running the same version of Storage Foundation for Windows (SFW) or Storage Foundation for Windows High Availability (SFW-HA)
- Copy these files from the extracted SFW binary install. They are located in the following location \license\db
Issue/Introduction
When running the vxlicrep command (start > run > vxlicrep), the following errors are reported back:
