Cause

Symantec Private Branch Exchange service is missing critical dll files.


Resolution

Please call Veritas Technical Support for more assistance with this issue.

It may be possible to correct the Veritas Private Branch Exchange with a "repair" installation option available in the Add/Remove Programs for Storage Foundation for Windows (Server Components).

Issue/Introduction

Unable to connect to the VERITAS Enterpise Administrator (VEA) UI, a pop up shows "Could not connect to server. Server may be down" This error may be seen if the Veritas Private Branch Exchange service which the VEA service depends on fails to start.  Check to see if this service has started.  If it fails to start it may show the application fault shown below.
