There is no error - other than the asldebug /scsi inquiry shows that the device is "skipped" by the ASL - as shown below

This is expected behavior. The devices were Hitachi "command device" . These devices are, by design, "hidden" and excluded by the ASL ( ie they are SKIPPED ). The Hitachi Command Control Interface (CCI) uses the special "command devices" for disk-based communication between servers.
Hitachi "command devices" will not be visible to VxVM and will be skipped by ASL per design requirements.
A HITACHI command device can be identified by the PID ( Product Id) which will have "-CM" appended as illustrated below :
