Cause

Beginning in the VCS 5.0 MP3 release, the mount agent adds the "intr" mount option for NFS type mounts.

Resolution

VCS needs the "intr" option in order to be able to manipulate the NFS mount in the event that there is a response issue, hang or network issue with the NFS mount. The "intr" option is hard coded in the mount agent for type NFS. This is by design. If the"intr" mount option was not present, vcs would be unable to properly control the NFS resource and take action when necessary.

Applies To

VCS 5.0MP3 and later

Issue/Introduction

The mount option "intr" is added as a mount option for NFS type mounts when mounted by Veritas Cluster Server (VCS). The "intr" option was not specifiedĀ as a mount option in the main.cf file
