Cause
Due to enhanced monitoring. Following further investigation we found that these messages are logged as part of reconfiguration code path.
Resolution
Using the extended attribute content reported for BCV-NR devices it is now possible to skip the BCV-NR devices during the reconfiguration codepath.
Had the customer run the following:
# vxdmpadm settune dmp_monitor_fabric=off
# vxdmpadm settune dmp_probe_idle_lun=off
There is a known bug for this e2154287 fixed in the following patching.
hot-fix 5.1 SP1 RP2 P2 HF8, EMC BCV (NR) devices will now be skipped during the reconfiguration process.
Issue/Introduction
As a backup strategy the customer presents then removes several luns to the system to replicate his data. There is no issue with the paths this is just the customers regular procedure as he uses this as a backup solution.
