Error Message
The track alignment is set to the default offset of 64 instead of the recommended value of 128
Cause
The DDL provider dicovers these storage devices as "OPEN"
Resolution
The issue has been identified and SFW correctly discovers and identifies Hitachi Open-V arrays. If you should encounter this issue, please contact Technical support to obtain the hotfix.
The fix for this issue is included in SFW 6.0 CP1 and later. Refer to SORT for more details on obtaining the CP.
Issue/Introduction
Storage Foundation for Windows 6.0 (SFW) automatically aligns volumes using predefined offsets provided by the array vendors. For storage devices using the identifier "OPEN-V" or "OPEN-*", the alignment is not correctly done.
