07/27 00:03:11: VxVM vxconfigd WARNING V-5-1-8011 Internal transaction failed: Disk group has no valid configuration copies
Due to a known issue in vxconfigd, when attaching shared memory segments to the process address space fails, the error is not handled properly.
This causes vxconfigd to leak huge amount of memory starting to fail new memory allocations. This memory leak results in error in claiming disks and offlining configuration copies, ending with diskgroups getting disabled.
This issue is tracked via incident e2524936.
This issue is fixed by code change to handle the above error properly and is available in below VxVM patches.
Solaris / AIX / Linux: 5.1SP1RP2P3
