Gathering logs with hagetcf and getcomms.pl in Veritas Storage Foundation HA for Windows

Follow these steps to gather cluster logs for Veritas Storage Foundation HA for Windows(SFW-HA):
1. From a Windows command prompt, browse to the SFW-HA \bin folder. By default,this is located at the following path:
c:\ProgramFiles\VERITAS\cluster server\bin
2. Run the getcomms.pl script with the following syntax:
perlgetcomms.pl -local -d [path] For example:
perlgetcomms.pl -local -d c:\getcomms
The command used in the example above will generate a set of logs under c:\getcomms. The script will automatically create the folder if the specific path does not exist.
3. Run the following command:
hagetcf Note: No switches are required.
By default,the command used in the example above will generate a set of logs under C:\Program Files\Veritas\Cluster Server\hagetcf.
These two folders (hagetcf and getcomms) can then be zipped before sending to Veritas Technical Support
Issue/Introduction
There are instances when the Vxexplorer or the Windows Data Collector fails to collect the needed logs or crashes while being run on a production server.
In these cases, below steps can be performed manually to gather VCS logs
