The licensing directory could contain too many expired licenses.
Procedure to clean up license directory:
vxlicrep|tee /var/tmp/vxlicrep.out
(this file can be used for historical reference if needed)
- highlight the Storage Foundation license (pasted below)
cd /etc/vx/licenses
cp -Rp lic lic-
rmlic /*
vxlicinst -k
(paste from above)
This will automatically generate Volume Manager and Veritas Filesystem license keys. A Cluster Server license will be automatically generated when a Storage Foundation HA key is entered (Standard or Enterprise). Additional licenses may be automatically generated as appropriate.
Additional license keys may be installed using the vxlicinst command as needed.
