To allow VEA to launch successfully, ensure the below are addressed:

1) Run the command path from the command prompt to verify the value for PATH System variables and ensure all the PATH variable values for Veritas Infoscale exists.

2) Ensure there are no syntax errors or incomplete paths for any of the Veritas PATH variables. 

3) Compare the JRE version for the impacted server with a healthy server by browsing to \Program Files\Veritas\VERITAS Object Bus\jre\bin path and running the below command to ensure the JRE version is identical.

java -version 

NOTE: The JRE version used by VEA differs with every Veritas Infoscale version. Hence, when comparing the JRE version with a healthy server, ensure it is using the same Veritas Infoscale version as the impacted one.

4) Follow VEA does not start due to license issues to ensure there are no license related issues.

5) Ensure Microsoft Visual C++ (2015-2019) Redistributable (x86) package is installed on the Server.

6) Ensure all exclusions listed at Setting up anti-virus and firewall software for InfoScale for Windows are applied.
