Description

Error Message

From the Windows System Event log:

Event ID: 1
Source: LLT
Message: LLT ERROR V-14-1-10082 lltTDIOpenInterface failed (dev=\Device\udp)

Cause

When running VCW (Veritas Cluster Configuration Wizard) on an existing cluster, and reconfiguring the LLT over UDP links, any node that has online IP resources might list the virtual IPs instead of the admin IP on the Private Network Configuration page of VCW.

Resolution

If the wrong IP address is shown, you can double-click on the IP address to select other IP addresses from a drop-down that may be bound to that NIC. If no drop-down is displayed after double-clicking, then only one IP is bound to that specific NIC.

Issue/Introduction

LLT over UDP fails to bind to one or more IP addresses during a reboot. This will show as the LLT link being down on remote cluster nodes, and the LLT links will be missing on the cluster node that failed to bind LLT.
