Error Message
When starting the Virtual Business Service:
VOM ERROR V-383-1-143 Virtual Business Service VBS01 cannot be started due to the following errors:
No system available to perform operation on VBS01. Check Virtual Business Service state on cluster nodes.
When stopping the Virtual Business Service:
VOM ERROR V-383-1-144 Virtual Business Service VBS01 cannot be stopped due to the following errors:
No system available to perform operation on VBS01. Check Virtual Business Service state on cluster nodes.
Cause
The VOM server is checking if the ClusterService group is ONLINE on any of the cluster nodes. The PARTIAL status not considered to be the same as ONLINE. All resources and groups should be ONLINE.
Resolution
Please make sure the ClusterService group is ONLINE on the cluster nodes that are used by VBS.
Issue/Introduction
The Virtual Business Service (VBS) cannot be started or stopped if the ClusterService group is not in the ONLINE state. The VOM (Veritas Operations Manager) GUI is specially checking the status of the ClusterService group on all of the cluster node. If it cannot determine that the group is ONLINE on any of node, an error will be reported.
