Cause

This occurs if you do not have read and write permission to the "MSMQStoragelocationpath" :\msmq\storage.

Resolution

  1. Verify that the MSMQ drive is accessible. This includes both :\msmq\mapping and :\msmq\storage.
  2. Verify that the registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSMQ\Clustered QMs\MSMQ$ exists on all cluster nodes.

Issue/Introduction

MSMQ (Microsoft Message Queuing) resource fails to come online in a VCS (Veritas Cluster Server) cluster.
