Description
Error Message
VxVM vxdmpadm ERROR V-5-1-2389 Incorrect Usage
Cause
The dmp_queue_depth parameter was initially introduced to control the number of IOs sent down to the SCSI layer on the AIX platform only. The parameter helped to overcome some limitations on how many IOs could be handled at the SCSI layer on the AIX platform. The help page for vxdmpadm incorrectly references this parameter on all platforms.
Resolution
The help page for vxdmpadm gettune will no longer reference the parameter for the HP-UX platform. No existing prior functionality is being deprecated.
