Description

Error Message

In "What-if Analysis Report" "Required (SPVU Model)" is shown as "Unknown".

VIOM also reported that the Guest Domain is having Improper Licensing.

Hosts Having Imporper Licensing
This report list all the hosts that have improper licensing.
Host              Platform     Reason
guest_name   SunOS       Virtualization server for this managed host is not reporting to management server:  cms.domain.name

Cause

This is because the MAC Address of the Solaris LDOM Guest Domain was changed after the LDOM Server and Guest Domain were added to VIOM.   In VIOM if only the MAC Address is changed, but not the hostid, VIOM will not update the Managed Host's Global Unique Identity (hostguid).   In the Guest Domain's log file /var/opt/VRTSsfmh/logs/hostguid.log, the following will be logged.

2016-11-06 02:55:31 [debug] 7000 set_hostguid: Mac address has changed but hostid is the same. Retain the same hostguid

Resolution

Please remove the Guest Domain from VIOM and remove the following file from the Guest Domain.

/var/opt/VRTSsfmh/.hostguid

Then add the Guest Domain to VIOM again.
