Error Message
1) vxlicinst ERROR V-21-1-16 The input License file path is invalid
2) License shows no features when running "vxlicrep" command
Cause
With InfoScale 7.4 version, Veritas has moved away from registering the licenses using License Key. A SLF license key is required while registering Veritas InfoScale 7.4 Products.
If the SLF key file is not provided or the key file is invalid, the above issues are encountered.
Resolution
Download the SLF key file from Customer Portal -> Licensing Section -> Licensing Keys -> InfoScale 7.4 entitlement
Upload the key file to the servers in binary format
License the product using the "installer" script or the "vxlicinst" command and provide the complete path to the key file.
Reinitialize using "vxdctl license init" command.
Note :
If there are keyless licenses installed, please ensure that these are set to NONE using "vxkeyless set NONE"
