VxVM vxassist ERROR V-5-1-10128  Unexpected kernel error in configuration update

Cause

Due to changes in RHEL 7.5 source code recently, the vxassist make volume command failed to create volume and returns with error "Unexpected kernel error in configuration update".

Resolution

Changes are done in VxVM code to solve the issue for volume creation.

This issue can be seen on the following product version and the fix will be available as below:

Fixed on PC infoscale-rhel7.5_x86_64-Patch-7.3.1.100
Fixed on PC sfha-rhel7.5_x86_64-Patch-6.2.1.600
Fixed on PC infoscale-rhel7_x86_64-Patch-7.2.0.300
