Coordpoint resource monitors fencing mechanism. If disk fencing is configured, the resource could become faulted because of disk issues, such as disconnection between the server and the SCSI devices.

The following errors might be seen in /var/log/messages:

kernel: connection1:0: ping timeout of 5 secs expired, recv timeout 5, last rx 4497995467, last ping 4498000472, now 4498005488
kernel: connection1:0: detected conn error (1022)

You might also notice in /etc/vx/dmpevents.log the following errors:

: I/O error occurred on Path sdc(8/32) belonging to Dmpnode disk_0(201/16)
: SCSI error occurred on Path sdc(8/32): opcode=0x12 reported packet timeout (status=0x0, key=0x0, asc=0x0, ascq=0x0)
: I/O analysis done as DMP_PATH_FAILURE on Path sdc(8/32) belonging to Dmpnode disk_0(201/16)
: Disabled Controller c33 belonging to Disk array disk
: Disabled Path sdc(8/32) belonging to Dmpnode disk_0(201/16) due to path failure

Consult with your storage team and/or OS vendor to resolve the disk issues. Once the disk issues have been resolved you can restart fencing.
