Cause

If the BeyondTrust PowerBroker applicationĀ is installed on the server, this blocks InfoScale from being able to perform a successful install. To confirm PowerBroker is installed, check for the following application inĀ 'Programs and Features':

Resolution

Uninstall the BeyondTrust PowerBroker software prior to installing the Infoscale for Windows software. Once Infoscale is installed, then the ByondTrust PowerBroker software can be reinstalled as the issue is only with the installation itself. Following an initial failure, the steps would be as follows:

1. Uninstall the Veritas InfoScale product from Program and Features (Add/Remove Programs)
2. Reboot the server
3. Uninstall the BeyondTrust PowerBroker software and reboot if prompted to do so.
4. Install the Veritas InfoScale product which should now be successful.
5. Reboot the server
6. Install the BeyondTrust PowerBroker software and reboot if prompted to do so.

Another possible option is to contact PowerBroker support to see if there is a way to configure their application to allow the InfoScale product to be successfully installed without the need to remove PowerBroker from the server.

Issue/Introduction

When installing the Veritas InfoScale for Windows product, the installer reaches 10%, and the status shows 'Copy file completed' when the 'Show Details' button is selected, and doesn't change.
