VCS WARNING V-16-10051-4008 IP:SG-XXXX-IP:monitor:IP (x.x.x.x) is Admin IP
Cause
The IP address provided in the IP resource is a physical IP or the node IP itself
Resolution
A virtual IP is needed when hosting clustered applications in Veritas Cluster. This enables the IP to failover between nodes every time the Service Group is failed over between the nodes.
Assign an IP address to the IP resource which is
a. Not pingable until brought online from VCS
b. Is not already binded to any server in the environment.
Issue/Introduction
IP resource would keep faulting or fail to probe with Status as Unknown in Veritas Java Console.
Checking the IP_A file from the %VCS_HOME%\logs folder would reveal the below error.
