and stopping the task and starting it again allowed the task to successfully complete.

 

 

As part of a storage migration the contents of one subdisk needed to be migrated from one of the old disks to a disk belonging to the new storage. Both the 'vxevac' and 'vxsd mv' commands were used, but each time the task failed to progress. The subdisk being moved was very small and there was plenty of free space on the target disks.
