Error Message
Windows Services will show the following when trying to start the Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager Database service:
- The Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager Database service service on Local Computer started and then stopped.
Windows System Event: Service Control Manager
- The Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager Database service service entered the stopped state.
Windows Application Event: PostgreSQL
- FATAL: database files are incompatible with server
Cause
There are two causes for this issue:
- VIOM Database is installed in non-default location
- Upgrade was performed with an account other than local 'Administrator' leading to permission errors
Resolution
A hotfix is now available for this issue to resolve the issue post-upgrade.
Please follow the steps in the ReadMe to run the patch and bring Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager Database Service online.
