Description

A regression in VRTSvxvm 7.4.1.2800 (e4013640) can cause a system to hang in the event vxstat is run. The running of Veritas Explorer can also lead to a hang since it runs vxstat as part  of data gathering.

Action Required

To avoid the system hang on 7.4.1, please upgrade to Volume Manager:

7.4.1.3100

For the patch above, please refer to Veritas Technical Support

The issue will also be addressed in 7.4.1 Update 5, available on Download Center around 23 July.

The issue can also be seen on 7.4.2; please upgrade to Volume Manager:

7.4.2.1400 (RHEL 8)

7.4.2.1500 (RHEL7, SLES12 and SLES15)

For any of the patches above, please refer to Veritas Technical Support
